A culinary bridge builder and leading authority on Asian cuisines, Andrea Nguyen was born in Vietnam and came to America at the age of six. She has authored seven acclaimed books, including The Pho Cookbook, a James Beard Award winner. Epicurious named her one of the top 100 greatest home cooks of all time.
Andrea’s newest cookbook, Ever-Green Vietnamese, is a stunner filled with modern (doable!) interpretations of traditional Vietnamese plant-based cooking. The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Food and Wine, and many others named it among the best 2023 cookbooks.
A former Saveur contributing editor and Cooking Light columnist, Andrea holds a Master’s degree from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. She has written articles and developed recipes for Food & Wine, EatingWell, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Los Angeles Times. Andrea lives in Santa Cruz, California, where she writes, teaches, and podcasts.
